Had a kickass weekend.
Friday night, we went to a cabaret for the Vanier Cup (the Canadian university championship football game that Saskatoon hosted on the weekend). A buddy was volunteering and had a bunch of cabaret tickets to give us. He was bartending... This meant the drinks were doubles/triples/impossible quads and the beers were 2-for-1, hahahaha. Yay us!
I bought 8 drink tickets and woke up in the morning, a bit hungover... with FOURTEEN tickets left over, hahahahahahahaha. See, a friend that was with us had a different friend that was also volunteering and he gave her 10 drink tickets. And, since I was the only one of our group that was coming back the next day (the drink tickets were still good on game day), so everybody gave me their leftovers.
Saturday, we went to the football game and tried to freeze our ass off, but we were dressed properly and our feet were about the only part of us that got too cold. Our Huskies lost, which sucked, but at least they made it all the way to the championship game when our city was going to be hosting it anyways. This city was football crazy all week. Fun times.
Cabaret after the game... Our buddy was bartending again, which meant our 14 tickets went a LONG, LONG, LONG way.
Sunday, went to a junior bowling tournament because, apparently, I'm in love with a yummy mommy or something. She and I really need to date (instead of us just getting drunk and having people constantly think we're dating), but we're both totally worried about wrecking our friendship because things would get sooooo messy if anything went wrong since we have such a tight circle of friends and everybody would be completely fucked if she and I eventually wanted nothing to do with each other. Sigh.
Most importantly, I was heard to use the following line on several occasions over the weekend when mentioning the bowling:
"Y'now... I won a bowling trophy one time... Well... It wasn't so much a trophy as it was a certificate... and by certificate, I mean they gave me a receipt..."
Me = The best.
