I get that reality in certain TV dramas, it's important to be as realistic as possible; specifically crime dramas. But I can't watch an episode of Bones, which I love, without covering my eyes when they discover the body du jour. NCIS is just as bad - the "Meat Puzzle" episode was one of the most disgusting ever. Tonight's episode was an old one in which a wannabe American Idol (played by Ace Young, a real AI alum) was murdered.
It's a two hour episode and it's 1:45 minutes into it. We now know he was garrotted. Before this we find out that he had ecoli from raw honey. At the very beginning, he was shredded by a huge lawn mower (tall enough to cut 8' tall grass). If looking at his body was gross enough, the head was missing. And where does it turn up? Stuck on the grille of the mower, upside down. Bones makes some comment about what else could go wrong for the singer and they zoom in on the head ... and his eyeball detaches and falls off his head.
I mean, come on. I just don't get how anyone could find that amusing or enjoyable. I don't get horror movies, like those slasher movies or axe murderer ones. On the other hand, the two-hour premiere of Bones in London looks great and the end of this episode was awesome; watching the cliffhanger now and then the second of the two-parter.
On a different note, Dylan broke his eating record once again. We ate at my mom's for dinner because she was making fish that my dad caught. Dylan ate two huge filets that were about 6" long, and at least two cups of tortellini. He followed that up by a cup of watermelon. We stopped on the way home to redeem a free pint coupon at Baskin - Robbins and Dylan finished watching "Max and Ruby" ... and ate the entire pint of ice cream.
I need to win the lottery or get left a huge amount of money by someone because I will not be able to afford to feed him in a few years. I will be buying entire sides of beef just for one meal for this kid.
