and time goes by
I do occasionally check this place called LiveJournal; although I think only one or two of you actually still post here and damnportlanders is fairly quiet this days...facebook and blogger must be where its at! :)
Life, in its infinite wisdom, continues to move forward and our little family is, for the most part, enjoying the ride. We recently moved into our first rental home (yay!) and are loving being OUT of the suburbs of Hillsboro into a more fantastic part of town. I'm 10 minutes from work, and we have a wonderful neighborhood to tool around in. Our garden/yard project is coming along nicely, and we're excited to add chickens to the Family Thyme Farm in August. E did a wonderful job painting, although there are a few more painting projects - but aren't there always? Now that I'm running again, we ARE surrounded by hilly areas, but what's better than running through 850K and up neighborhoods - other than I have to be careful to watch where I'm going! :-)
Work is, of course, work. I'm thankful to have a job that I usually am happy to be at, that pays well, and has the added benefit of being A Fun Place To Work. I am however ready for E to find employment so that I can regain the household title of Stay At Home Mom (at least part time). I very much miss cleaning house, preparing meals regularly, and being a more intimate part of Jaden's day - even with volunteering at the school, which I have not had opportunity to do this year.
On that note; it's past time for me to hit the road running (literally) and get ready for a girl's afternoon with one of my dear friends this afternoon.
