My son, RPG writer

I've never played an RPG -- and there are instances where I've probably used the acrostic incorrectly.

But I had to share this snapshot of cuteness...

My son is playing a game he made up with his dad, wherein he has made a map of islands on a paper, and then created beeswax representations of the various monsters on these islands.

Jaden: What direction do you want to go in your boat?
Eric: North
Jaden: What direction next?
Eric: West
Jaden: You're on the island and the monster is made of metal. You have a lightening staff or a lava rod, which do you choose?
Eric: Lightening staff.
Jaden: NO Eric, because he's metal, you will get electrocuted.
Eric: Oh yeah, the lava rod.

etc...

Little guy has all sorts of weapons, monsters, and hidden rooms on this piece of paper (and his imagination). It's hilarious only in that he's never played anything other than a couple of games of Pokemon that would remotely resemble this type of game play.

I love this kid!
