Well, it's been over a month and a half since I broke my collar bone (clavicle). A month and a day since surgery, and 5 days since the start of physical therapy.
Yeah, I really haven't improved too much since surgery since it's going to hurt like a bitch until physical therapy starts helping, that's the only way I'll get better. I have to go in twice a week which sucks ass, then do excercises daily at home. One good improvement, I'm typing with two hands! I'm not wearing the sling that much as home anymore, just occasionally, and when I am out of the house I have to wear it. Now I can't move it that much however. The highest I can lift my arm to the from and to the side is 90 degrees. Don't even think about motioning it backward.
My arm feels like a brick impossible to lift up. I just got the pain of my elbow to go away, since it was in that right angle for only 6 weeks.
The baaaaaaaaaad news. Of course I got surgery, and with surgery comes a scar. I have to massage the car twice a day to try and loosen it up, and if I don't, the pain I am in right now will be permanent. You don't know how much that sucks ass. They give me about a 14 week window to heal, I've passed 4 weeks, and they thinik I am behind schedule.
Now, I may be able to have ANOTHER surgery to loosen up the muscles at the end of the 14 weeks, but that may put my bowling career in jeopardy. So pretty anything using my arm extremely could be put to rest. So pretty much have to suck it up, and go through as much pains as I need to within the next ten weeks, just so I can live the next sixty (hopefully) years with a good shoulder.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck
