Give me the chocolate ones, not the jelly filled ones
I took a day off today as the past few days I've been feeling a bit unwell. The weather here today has been nasty, so that was another reason to stay at home.
I'm now caught up on all my stuff! Although for the record, I was pretty well there last night. I now just have to do a major amount of cleaning. However right now, I can't be bothered. My nose has already been sneezy enough without needing to breathe dust, thankyou. At least, that's my excuse right now and I'll stick to it if it means not doing actual work.
Other good news today:
1. I FINALLY found my silver/steel butcher's pig brooch that I thought I'd lost. It was on a top that was turned inside out and hiding inside another top. Yay for me.
2. I got a package in the mail telling me I've been offered a place in one of the postgrad courses I applied for. Not my first preference, but still better than nothing, and it's a government funded rather than full fee place. Yay again.
3. My sister rang me and it sounds like she might be able to get me some freelance work. At any rate she is mentioning my name and going to bat for me. I also received an email back from a quote so I know they got it, whether they go with it or not who knows, but it's a start.
All in all, a good day. Finally the work, catching up with people, and putting out feelers/chasing up for opportunities is starting to show some promise. It's all coming together, people.
AND THEN I WILL RULE ALL OF YOU! BEWARE MY SUPER TALENTS AND BLINDING AWESOMENESS.
Tomorrow is Friday, and we all know what that means - Friday morning tea! Let's hope it's something good. I want party pies and maybe some donuts. Or lamingtons! I haven't had a good lamington in a while...
