Right then, first an update. As you must know by now, liz_marcs is hosting a Dark Xander ficathon. We here at PYGS will be collecting any loose bunnies that the 'thon might generate, from people who might not be able to write things themselves or want to ask for something on the off chance their request will catch someone's fancy. If you have an ideas, feel free to drop us a line in the comments to this post or here. We'll collect them and do a weekly summary every Saturday. Depending on how that goes, we might have a few mini-challenges here over the course of the next few months, as an appetizer for the main event.

Right then, on with the important stuff. If you're looking for some fanfiction or have any to pimp, just comment here and we'll do what we can to hook you up (or thank you profusely, o'course). We also love bunnies. Not exclusively Dark!Xander ones, any ideas you might wanna share. And if you need help with a fic (finding a beta or someone to bounce ideas around with), drop us a line too, okay?

• As yesterday, I didn't have time to showcase the ideas from swedish15 and skipp_of_ark, let's start with those, eh?
  • From swedish15: A Ghost in the Shell/BTVS crossover idea. The bunny kicks off with a meeting between Aramaki (GitS) and head watcher Dawn Summers (BTVS). There might be more between them than business usually, but this time it's strictly professional. Picture the old Initiative files getting into the wrong hands in the world of GitS. The hands of vampires. Can you imagine what mayhem cybernetically enhanced fangfaces might cause and the risk they would pose to the slayers? The only problem is, it's these old files were stolen by Xander Harris (BTVS). As for what could make Xander do such a thing, that's up to you. Check out the bunny for the full pitch.
  • From skipp_of_ark: A Dr. Who/BTVS crossover idea. Very atmospheric. Set pre-"Rose" but after the Time War and post-"Chosen", with Eccleston's characterization of the Doctor. He finds himself in a bar in London, contemplating all he's lost and wondering whether he should drown his sorrows or wallow a little more. At the same pub, maybe even at the other end of the bar, is another man doing the same. A man who lost his home town, his family and mostly his life when the Hellmouth went boom. And Anya. These guys both being who they are, you know that things won't remain calm for long. Either vampires will attack or invaders from the future/another dimension/another planet will try to take over the world or something else entirely. Whatever it is, the Doctor and Xander will be working together to sort it out. Bonus points if Xander makes a crack about the Doctor kind of reminding him about Spike and the Doctor in turn muttering something along the lines of 'Bloody Americans' under his breath. Another pitch you must check out for all the details.
• Today's bunny from swedish15: An I am Legend/BTVS crossover today. You know, the book written by Richard Matheson? No, this isn't about how the Scoobs are the last remaining survivors. They got infected too. Most of them were lost. Only Buffy, Dawn and Giles are left and they're quasi-vamps (functional humans at night, undead bloodsuckers during the day). As messed up as they are, they're all that's left. And then they hear that the Legend is coming. Think about it. He's the last true human. He kills vamps. Buffy, Dawn and Giles are still the same as they always were when night falls, they're only monsters during the day. There are others like them too, a whole world of people. So what should Buffy do? Should she slay this 'Legend' guy? This monster in the new world she belongs to? Go read the bunny for a better idea.
• Also from swedish15, we have a fic rec (that I DEFINITELY second): The Legend of Jayne Eyire by bookishwench. It's Firefly meets Charlotte Bronte. I don't think there could possibly ever be a more mind-boggling combination than that. Go check it out. But, maybe don't drink anything while you're reading. Spit takes are unavoidable.
• Special request from remember_nomore! Printable fanfiction. Lindsey/Tara would be wonderful, but any fic featuring good characterization of either char on their own would be great too. Het, gen, femmeslash or even slash (although not Spander or Spangel). Anyone have any nice stories for her to print out?

  • A specific fic that features Xander staring out at the sea after finally crossing a desert to get there. Does anyone remember which story this is?

  me: any smart smut. Not the completely gratuitous kind, but something that has more to it. Het, femmeslash, even slash if it's really good.
