courtesy of my world issues teacher, i now own a slightly illegal dvd copy of hotel rwanda. as my attendance has proven to be quite terrible for this fourth period course, he has decided to grant me a second chance with the viewing of this film. i will be composing a summary or reflection of some sort regarding this touching film.
aside from this livejournal entry, i have been extraordinarily productive considering my standard work ethics. i returned home and quickly cracked open the "dimensions of law" textbook for an hour or two of studying. i composed a total of four pages of notes for the upcoming unit test and my feeble mind is now filled with legal information. it is my hope that by tomorrow morning, my mind will not be a blank canvas once again. i have a grand amount of academic tasks to complete for tomorrow morning. two unit tests tomorrow will surely create stress for my weak self - law and classical civilizations will be infesting my evening. i have a tedious assignment for fourth period - a world map to be labeled, coloured and a border to be added to the letter size page. it is to my advantage that i had an odd love for colouring - shading is my specialty. an economics assignment concerning supply and demand is due tomorrow as well and i hope to receive a relatively high mark on this assignment. it seems i am not the brightest of the economics bunch.
following the few hours of academic brainwork, i proceeded to the basement where i exercised on the elliptical for approximately twenty minutes and performed as many sit-ups as possible on the sloped bench. meanwhile, i watched a combination of movies including napoleon dynamite, the terminal and cellular. my daily workouts seem to have fulfilled their duties for the time being - i have lost five pounds in the last week. unfortunately, i cannot see these results.
there was absolutely nothing special about this day thus far. the children are still away at orford and i am still here. first period is rather dry as i no longer have the company of my few peers. second period, without kermit and nope, proves to be rather mind-numbing as well. third period, with the newfound return of mufasa, has managed to plaster a slight smile on my face. her continuous gleaming smile, random chuckles and comments have always contributed greatly to the overall satisfaction of my day. lunch was interesting enough. i found tarot in the cafetorium seated alone and decided to join her in the lunchtime festivities. we engaged in a rather lengthy conversation concerning class, my attractive world issues teacher, galileo, fiend, and the students in our school. she is a dazzling character. fourth period, i arrived to find a saddened and aggravated banana and a hyperactive soup. we completed the viewing of a film and i proceeded, in partnership with soup, to label a world map. we then began a discussion concerning the names of our inevitable children. he decided "el guapo" and "nazareth" were the ideal names for his sons. this caused japanese resembling fits of laughter emitted from my lungs and head.
now, i must do away with this procrastination. dinner is calling me and so are these terrible educational resources.
side note: a group of grade eleven students found the words i inscribed in a history textbook not long ago. they laughed. i suppose my life is somewhat fulfilling if i can entertain a classroom of children.
