I live in the middle of nowhere. My ISP (local) has just started a program of offering wireless high speed access. I called them on Monday of last week to find out if I could get their service. To date, I hadn't heard back from them.
I called again today and they still haven't come out to check and don't know when they plan to get out our way to test.
He said, "We're getting a lot of requests, but we wait until we have a bunch before checking. We have a pile of them now."
What kind of company doesn't want customer's business? I'm certainly not used to being left waiting weeks just to see if a service *might* be available in my area.
No wonder they're staying such a small company!
