Wow depressing stuff ...
Writing my JPN hist paper on the Rape of Nanking. Its pretty depressing stuff. While doing websearches on the subject, I found a lot of rather conservative Japanese webpages either downplaying the 6 week rape and murder of Nanking, or downright denning that it ever happened, writing it completely off as Chinese propaganda. Which can be compared to modern day Germany publicly declaring that the Holocaust never happened. Sad thing is that wirh the rise of ultra-nationalism in Japan as of late, the conservative opinion overshadows the the liberal's on the issue.
Its kind of sad that the Author of the book commicted Suicide about a month ago, but it just proves that History fucks you up.
