So, I think I've realized today, that as part of our fallen human condition, we are fundamentally insecure.
Why?
Why do we constantly doubt ourselves? Why do we think that if they truly knew me they wouldn't like what they saw? Why do we fear being close to someone, almost as much as we fear being alone? We know we will fail sometime, that everyone dies eventually.
"Have you ever felt abandoned? Felt so lost that you were stranded? Just like all the walls are closing in, and you were left inside? Have you ever felt like your days were numbered? Stuck under a tree in thunder. Seems to be no way out."
Or is it because really, deep down, we know we aren't sufficent? We know we will fail sometime, that everyone dies eventually. But shouldn't that give us even more confidence? Confidence that it is ok to fail - we don't have to be perfect to be accepted.
"And you ask "Why?". When you feel like you can't fly, you gotta know I got the answer for ya: There's so much more to life than this!"
"Seems to be no way out. But there is One when in doubt!!"
