  1. Geez, that's tough. I don't know. Okay. I skipped this one, did the other questions, and came back. Of the many, many choices, included performing two weddings, drinking good Scotch whilst watching friend froze her tits showering out in the open, and arriving at Burning Man for the first time ever and hearing "welcome home" and feeling it was true, I think I'll have to go with the following. The first day I arrived at Burning Man my first year, I met a very cute girl. Who was obviously too cute and too smart and too cool to be interested in me. By the last night, the night after The Man burned, the night they burned The Temple, I'd made friends with her. A bunch of us walked out to watch The Temple Burn. On the way we had a white-out and could see nothing but darkness and a very blurry moon. She and I were separated from the rest of our crew. We arrived at The Temple just as the white-out subsided. We sat down at The Temple (our crew found us in no time-- I guess you develop DesertSense). We watched The Temple Burn, which was one of the most solemn, beautiful, moving things I've ever witnessed. It is very hard to describe. We just sat there, holding each other, watching it. We spent the rest of the night together and it was a very special thing for both of us. We still write one another.
  2. Good lord, I don't know. Assuming average American lagers at about 6% alcohol by volume (as opposed to say, Dogfish Head's 120 Minute IPA which has an ABV of 20%) it would have to be at least 15, based on recent experience. I once consumed a whole fifth (750ml) of Jack Daniels. Twice, actually.
  3. Probably Shakespeare. If he counts as fantasy (Midsummer Night's Dream could easily be considered fantasy) then I guess I'll go with Andrew Vachss.
  4. Another horribly difficult question, as some artist's stuff is great for one thing and bad for another. (Example, I loved Mark Hempel's art in Gregory and hated it in The Kindly Ones. So I'm going to cheese out and give a list (in no particular order): Christopher Moeller, Geoff Darrow, Frank Miller, David Lloyd, Goseki Kojima, Brian Bolland, Tim Truman, Arthur Adams, Mike Mignola, Phil Foglio, Steve Rude, Bill Reinhold, Bill Willingham, Dave Mckean, Dave Dorman, Tim Bradstreet, Frank Brunner, Todd McFarlance (I hate to admit it), Kevin McGuire, Matt Wagner, Simon Bisley, and Glen Fabry. They are all artist's whom I have tried to emulate at one point or another.
  5. If you mean "part of the animal" I'll go with ribs, because I love them from beer, pork or lamb. If you mean specific dish, again, there are many choices, but on this one I will not cheese out. Thick porterhouse steak, rare.

Was my tent a part of this special thing for both of you? :)

Your tent was, in fact, the location for part of the time we spent together.
