I mostly agree with you. It didn't feel like a real movie to me, I think because there was no goal to it, and no real mystery. All Harry is trying to do is win the triwizard tournament; there is no concern over why his name was in the goblet, or what the dreams meant, or his scar hurting, etc.
A few points: - they needed the world cup to establish port keys and death eaters early on. I was going to say "and point out Krum was the seeker" but they might as well have cut that. - If they wouldn't have put the Hagrid/Maxime plot in the movie, Hagrid wouldn't have been in it at all. (But maybe they should have spent that time on better Hagrid scenes, in the books he's often central in solving or thinking about the mysteries.) - Maybe they thought the quill for Rita Skeeter was cool enough to warrant an entire scene. There wasn't much everyday magic in the movie. I still didn't care for it though. - According to IMDB, the actress who plays Moaning Myrtle is 40 years old!
