Ladies and gentlemen of Chicago, I am sensing something. I am sensing a need for an renewal in the Christmas spirit. I am sensing a general melancholy and discontentment, and that just will not do for this time of year. This is Christmas.
We should start acting like it.
Therefore, I have decided to take matters into my own hands:
Tomorrow. Noon. Grant Park. Come and see me (Shawn Spencer) in my one-man production of "Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown." Come in appropriate Christmas attire, and I will give you the most awesome Christmas present you have ever gotten.
