An update about my life

Below is a brief synopsis of all the major events of the past week:

I had two of my CDs finally returned to me, along with their respective cases. Still missing, however, is the Stillwater EP, which isn't really a CD so much as it is a novelty, however I would still like it back. Has anybody noticed that Stillwater, though fictitious, is still an extremely mediocre band?

I balanced my register a few nights ago. We are allowed $5.00 leeway up or down, and apparently no one has ever had a discrepancy of zero between the amount on the printout and the amount actually in the register. I was one cent off a few nights before that, but now that I've hit the mark, I am satisfied and thinking of retiring to the English countryside. I should really try and convince the managerial staff at Value Village to erect a monument in my honour. I'm thinking it would be like the one that is outside of courtooms, except instead of a virgin wearing a blindfold it would be my face with smug grin.

Tonight I ate meat for the first time in about a month, save for that salami sandwich I had last week, and possibly some salmon a few weeks ago. Though it takes a fair amount of work to prepare, meat, in the end, is quite delicious and extremely filling. I think I may go deer hunting some time in the late fall.

Chemical abstinence has forced me to find other activities with which to occupy my non-work and non-music time. Thus, I have taken to reading, sometimes actual books with stories, though I prefer short novels to long ones, as, on this particular afternoon I, knowing full-well my shortcomings, poured myself a cup of tea, not to the point where one would be apt to spill, but not so scant that it would leave me unsatisfied, came to the profound yet ultimately meaningless realisation that I lacked many of the various mental faculties possessed by the vast majority of educated men that allow them to concentrate on what could rationally only be considered longwinded textual dissertations; verily I made the appropriate adjustments, sat upright in my seat so as to alleviate the sensation of agony building in my lower back and typed out the final clause that, owing to the superfluous and abstruse nature of the previous clauses, was itself quite superfluous and, moreover, entirely incomprehensible.

Ha! Ha! Ha!
