History has been made
Today, April 6th, 2004, a date which will live in infamy. the Foley Ventures suddenly and deliberately fucked up the lakers of our lady of the lakes. Yes you heard me right. WE WON!!!! both games of our double header (first time thats happened since 1998) and we are now the winningest sport in Foley....move over girls soccer! Well, for the moment anyway. this is possibly the best night in my sports career at Foley. we're 2-3, and if we win tomorrow vs. Centerline, we'll be at .500 up till spring break! who would've thought.
I'm glad we finally can shut up the haters. Seriously, you may hate Foley, you may not care about our sports teams, but i can't stand people who sit there and just rip on them. I put up with that all through football season. We didn't win, but we put in all of our effort. It's not like we don't try, it's just that we only have like 200 guys in our school and other teams are all boys and have like 800. i made me feel like i was a piece of shit cause no one supported me and my teammates. How can we get up for a homecoming game when most people say they won't go (or leave in the first ten minutes)? So, don't come to the games if you can't support our teams even in down times. But please dont trash us in our own school. That's complete bullshit. Now finally we've actually done something good. I guarantee i'll go to school tomorrow and hear some damn lax player tearing us down. "well you moved down a division. You still suck. It doesn't matter, no one likes baseball anyway." That's the problem with Foley. We don't support each other. when WE don't even respect our own teams, how will anyone else?
....sorry that was kinda long, but it's been on my mind cause we only have a few fans (thanks Chando, Emily, Bally, Val, and Eric). Anyway, now that we've proven we're worth watching, come support us!!!!!!
I got my tux yesterday too. i'm sad that i couldn't match enough to get a pink vest. Amanda, you'll have to come with me and help me so i can change it. I'm sooo excited for Prom!
this will pry be my last update before florida. I cannot wait to get on the road. seriously, i think jordan and i are gonna have a kick ass time. Nataly, we're definately partying with you and the girls when we get to clearwater.
