Happy Mother's Day, to me and to all moms!
It’s turned out to be a pretty decent weekend. We had an ice cream social Friday afternoon at work. Everyone pitched in, and we all had a nice yummy treat. Then yesterday, got a call from a couple of John’s friends, wondering if I’d like to have dinner with them. That was nice, but I got a pretty great compliment when, in response to what was likely the question, “why are you having dinner with your friend’s mom?” the reply was “because she’s cool.” That felt good! (Thanks, C & J!)
Already heard from John today, as well, with a “Happy Mother’s Day!” I miss him, but that pretty well made my day complete.
Taking MY mom out for Sunday dinner today; new place for me, but Mom’s eaten there before. It’s a buffet, like Ponderosa, I guess, or Old Country Buffet, but Mom says it’s better. We’ll see; if it is, we’ll have to do a Golden Corral run instead of a Ponderosa run (and you know who you are, gang!).
Got another transcript to do, IF the attorney ever sends me the deposit. Hopefully, I’ll get it this week. Of course, if I do, I’ll have to do some work while in IL next weekend. No big deal, though. I’m visiting for the weekend, and John wants me to stay through Tuesday, since his choir concert is that evening. Since I’m not sure if he’s in choir next year, I may just have to make arrangements to stay. This may be my last chance to see him perform. (Okay, at least until the band is up and running, and in that case, I’ll just be an old broad groupie, I guess!)
I’m feeling a bit creative today; who knows, maybe I’ll finally update the changes to M.A.T.C.H. today. I’d like to finish reading the changes I made last time, anyway. Then I may just start expanding the details. I’ve got a few months to play; I may just decide to finish it up and try to get it published. (I SAID I was feeling creative! LOL)
