Countdown . . .

Nine days, 21 hours, 40 minutes -- WHEE!

Tonight's agenda:

1) go to Target (or somewhere) and pick up a duffel bag. I don't have one and the suitcase just isn't going to cut it.

2) go to B&N and pick up the newest J. D. Robb. Last year's one that came out at this time of year came out while I was up north and I spent a day or so entertaining a couple of hyenas (they didn't HAVE to laugh to hard at me) by reading them little tidbits from it, or by bursting out in laughter at odd moments. Never saw so much eye rolling.

3) do some laundry of things I'll wear for vacation that I can't wear at work, i.e., jeans, tanks, etc. Once that's done, I'll start my packing. Won't Sue be surprised.

Checked the long range forecast for a couple of the places I'll be going; looks like it's going to be a warm one. Hopefully I'll move through after all the effects of Dennis have passed. We're supposed to get some of the after-effects as far as here in the next couple of days. Rainy summer days can be nice, but around here, too blasted muggy!

Behaved myself last night; had a couple of Polish sausage (thanks, Schwans!) and a big salad for dinner. Even drank lemonade instead of Mountain Dew. (Ok, so that was only because I was OUT of Mountain Dew, but still . . . !)

Grabbing a couple of bottles of water to take to work with me. I intend, unless it does something stupid like rain, to sit at the picnic table once again during lunch. Gotta get some more sun on my arms so they don't look so unbalanced when I get back. The sacrifices you make when you're the only one doing the driving! :)

Oh, and in case you're wondering, I'm updating almost daily now to get in the habit. I'm going to try and keep a journal, in part on here, of the trip. So I've got to get into the swing of things so I'm used to doing this daily. Otherwise, I'll backslide.
