I forget where I left off.. but here goes:
Work: We just got back from a business trip to Las Vegas a few days ago. And a month before that we hit Hollywood, CA. And in another month we're doing a NY trip, which is a nice break from the 6 hour flights. Though can't complain. Fully comped trips to Vegas and Hollywood... Nice. Granted, I lost $900+ dollars in Vegas and got frisked by hotel security. You know me, though. I'm not a complainer. :)
Besides iMonetize, our other big project is Domainer's Magazine, for which I am the art director (...I need graphic design training... BAD!) Still, its was released to massively positive reactions. Go to domainersmagazine.com to see the covers that I developed so far. I basically had 2 weeks to learn inDesign and the process for laying out a magazine. It was fun and tense. :-p iStock photo is my friend.
My Business: I'm busy getting my business into full swing. I've learned so much in the last year, and done enough "freelance" work through my company, that I'm finally confident enough in my abilities to go out on my own. And now I have enough money to get it going.
You can see how its progressing at: firepointmedia.com I like the name better than nuforge.com.
I also have over 160 domain names that are making me between $100-200 a month. Not great, but its growing and allowing me to fund other project and more purchases.
Personal life: Still sleeping with my ex. Tried asking out another girl, but didn't work out. Which is for the best cause I didn't really like her. She's one of those cliche girls with low self-esteem who thinks giving away sex is a good way to get attention. I wanted to be one of those guys who DIDN'T just use her for sex, but she apparently likes the psychologically-abusive assholes... color me surprised. Other than her, there are no real other prospects in the area.
Summary: Its an exciting and kinda scary time right now. Things are changing and I'm finally moving forward in my life. I have a feeling I'm going to be having some major decisions to make in the coming months. We'll see....
