Even before his accident, he was awkward, fitting the description of computer nerd with a stereotypical precision. No one would ever mistake him for a ladies man.
So he dressed the part of said computer nerd, except he added style, class and flair. An expensively tailored suit was the perfect disguise for what he really was. The suit hid the scars, covered the scarred skin, and gave him an air of distinction. But only on the outside.
Physically, he was damaged. His limbs didn’t work quite the way he would have liked them to. He couldn’t run anymore, instead he kind of loped, and only when absolutely necessary.
People still noticed the stiffness, the limp. What they remembered was the outward appearance, and that was just the way he wanted it.
