Things that go "bump" in the night

Caboose wandered warilly through the halls of the blue base. I hope Mr. Simmons was just kidding...there are not any monsters here... are there? He shuddered slightly and made it to his room. "there are no monsters... there are no monsters..." was his mantra as he stripped off his armour and pulled on some cleaner clothes. Looking in and under anything that could conceal a monster, he took up his gun and climbed under the covers.

"Goodnight, blue base... It is good to be home... even if there are monsters." Curling up tightly, he hugged his gun close and fell into a deep sleep.
