Pastel Portrait: Sam
I decided to do another pastel portrait because I might maybe kind of secretly like doing these now....

Well, remember my Dean pastel portrait? gi-ace.deviantart.com/art/SPN-Man-with-the-neon-lips-204766024 There were so many issues with that, but it was my first so all is forgiven. *locks self in a torturous dungeon* I think I'm getting the hang of these messy little shits (pastels) so even though I've been in a horrible art slump even though I owe people so much art ahahahaha *long exhale* I decided that instead of sitting around and drawing nothing that I'd do more portraits since they require none of my original style effort or whatever I'm trying to say. You know what I mean right? RIGHT. And like I've been bitten by the traditional art bug anyways thanks to someone I know *cough* Raeve *cough* 8D
So here is a Sam:
I spent double the time on this than Dean, and I spent longer just sketching it so I could have way more accurate proportions (something that sucked balls with the Dean portrait).
And I really really really wish I had a gooder gotdang camera. It took a nice photo when I was up close for the eye preview, but the further away I get the quality is lost :/ Something photoshop can never bring back *sadness* So just note that this might definitely look better irl XD
Also, I liked all the colors I incorporated into Dean's skin in the other portrait, but in the ref I used for Sam there were so many delicious skintones that I didn't want to add any unnatural colors to this one. And the fire was fun to do cuz I have all these neon pastels so it's vivid and pets my eyes.
Gah, what more to say? I'm super satisfied with how this one turned out <3
TURNED OUT OKAY FOR MY LEAST FAVORITE CHARACTER I MEANT TO SAY :/
XDDDDDDDD JUST KIDDING. I adore Sam. He's like...ALMOST right up there with how much I like Dean. (if "almost" were compared to the enormity of an ocean) Oh god, I'm horrible. I kid of course.
Besides, I have to like Sam a lot since I super ship Wincest 24/7.
P.S. When I joke around and say that Sam is my new favorite character to my partner, she flips and gets pissed because Sam's her fav. XDDD I think it's hilarious. Fiiiiiiiiiiine, I'll keep Dean as my fav. If the world's gonna force me to :/
