I'm in London. Other than the cars being on the other side of the road, everything being bloody expensive, and everyone wearing 'clickity clack' shoes it doesn't really feel that different.
There was this moment when I was getting on the Tube that bloody screamed crazy socialist Big Brother future. Everyone is in their banker clothes and their clickity clack shoes and we're all being funneled towards the escalator when I hear this voice telling us to stand on the right and walk on the left in a very bland machine-like British accent. It was all very surreal.
Not being in Boston though is lovely, and not doing that same thing every day/week is mentally refreshing.
Places I've spent non-trivial amounts of time at so far:
-Tate Modern
-The Globe Theater
-British Museum (My inner 5yr old *squeed* when I saw the Rosetta Stone. Need to go back to see the Early Britain exhibit.)
-Liverpool Station/on the tube
Mostly I've been wandering through the city, trying to get my bearings, and taking lots of pictures (though not as many as I should and none with me in them which is unfortunate). Banksy has a lot of work near Waterloo Station, I should hit that up during the day.
Tomorrow's supposed to be 'warm' and sunny. Maybe my best day to head down to Brixton. I'm sure there are other lovely things to do during a day but I have yet to figure out what they might be.
I hope my cat is not dead... or my betta... or my other tank.
