[Thanks to everyone who has responded so far... these are really useful]
I'm writing a term paper for 21L.432 Understanding Television on Lost. I would really like feedback from people who watched it and stopped, people who never started watching it, and people who still watch it.
If you have a few minutes your help would be much appreciated. Answer as many or as few questions as you like, every answer helps.
Never Watched Lost:
- Why did you not watch the show? Not interested? Interested but thought it would be too time consuming? Don't watch TV? Other?
Used to Watch Lost but Don't Anymore:
- During what season and when in the season did you start watching?
- If you did not start watching when the pilot aired for the first time, how did you get caught up on the show (TV reruns, DVDs, iTunes, etc)?
- What was the primary medium by which you watch the show (TV, iTunes, DVDs, abc.com, etc)?
- Did you participate in media extensions of the program (blogs, The Lost Experience, books, etc)? If so, which ones?
- Did you feel it was necessary to participate in these media extensions to understand what was happening on the show?
- When and why did you stop watching?
- Did you find the narrative plot lines hard to follow?
- Did the large ensemble cast make it difficult to follow?
Still Watch Lost:
- During what season and when in the season did you start watching?
- If you did not start watching when the pilot aired for the first time, how did you get caught up on the show (TV reruns, DVDs, iTunes, etc)?
- What is the primary medium by which you watch the show (TV, iTunes, DVDs, abc.com, etc)?
- Do you participate in media extensions of the program (blogs, The Lost Experience, books, etc)? If so, which ones?
- Do you feel it is necessary to participate in these media extensions to understand what was happening on the show?
- Did you ever stop watching and start up again? If yes, did you feel like you had to go back and watch the episodes you missed to understand what was happening?
- Do you find the narrative plot lines hard to follow?
- Does the large ensemble cast make it difficult to follow?
