I need to get out of Boston and forget life exists, if only for a day.
I can't think of anywhere to go that doesn't require a car though. Commuter rail is more than acceptable, but my bike was stolen a few months back so that's out. I also don't mind a bit of walking.
It doesn't have to be anywhere special, preferably a place that has some amount of greenery. Anything from hiking in the middle of nowhere to spending time wandering around a small town would be fine. I like English tea houses, people watching, antique shopping, local museums, etc. This makes me sound like I'm 80. I spent a lot of vacations as a child doing the exact same things so it's kind of ingrained whether I like it or not. Anyway......
Thoughts? Ideas? Companions?
