Festival

The 48hr film festival ended today.

The day started out at 10am for most of us, Jason had worked through the night editing. We all drove to Universal to hand it in by the deadline. We went for lunch at Mootown. The screening and judging was held at City Walk in the theater from 4 till 6 and awards were handed out afterward. There were nearly 40 teams, and at least 30 completed projects.

It would be an understatement to say that our video was a success. We had no idea that it would get such a response from the other students. I will soon put a link on my website so you can see it, we were the only group to get a standing ovation.

We won 2 of the 5 awards tonight for best story and for best editing. That was exciting yet somehow extremely anti-climatic. It might have been because it was such a long day and we were all tired. It might have been because we were mad we didn't win first prize. A combination of both.

Once everything was back in perspective, we went back to Mark and Laura's to celebrate our success. It was a really good thing.

Today was fun. Tomorrow, uh. Tomorrow we find out our positions for 35mm. It is so nerve wracking that it sucks. The only way to survive is by not thinking about it.

Talk later. Now I must sleep.
