Apologies, then, for forcing you all to endure these lectures. I can assure you that "the Golden Rule" is nowhere on my curriculum.

Absolutely. I think a lot of opinions are important. Sometimes with enough talk we can get a bit of the truth.

For the record, I find this town rather deplorable. They've made it quite clear they don't care about our well-being, despite expecting us to live in this little utopian suburbia they've created.

I quite agree. I think the question is then how best to not conform to their desires while appearing to do so.
