Aaah!

[A clatter as the communicator is dropped.]

Someday, I'd like to know the reasoning behind the shock. I simply haven't had anything to talk about. But as long as I'm here....

Ridiculously easy puzzle goes here )

Um... You can only look once? ...

AH! You send a friend in to look and tell you while you flip the switches!

...That is possible, yes, but that's not exactly the point of the puzzle.

But it solved it!

Most problems do have more than one solution, but what if you're alone?

I go get someone?

That will get you the answer, but the point is to think logically and solve it on your own.

but isn't it logical to ask for help?

If it were a realistic situation, I suppose so, but it's purely hypothetical.

So I'm completely alone?

Why do I want to know what the light bulbs do anyway?

For fun, of course. The definition of a puzzle is basically "recreational problem-solving."

If it's recreational I should have a friend with me right?

Reply

puzzledprof February 23 2009, 22:43:19 UTC
Not exactly. Puzzles are something you do alone, unless you're stuck and need help.

Why do I want to do something alone if I have friends though? Isn't it better to do things with people?

Perhaps, but some things can be done equally as well alone.
