Delaware Valley - Live from the Spring Ball 2003. I can listen to it for hours non-stop (and have many times, and will again). On Saturday we participated in a dance demonstration at the Southern Maryland Celtic Festival, with tamnonlinear and five other dancers from our Wednesday night group. At the Charlottesville Burns Night dance yesterday afternoon, during the break, a 5 couple all male set danced The Reel of the 51st Division. A photographer from the local paper, The Daily Progress, took a great many pictures, one of which was published in today's paper ( Read more... )

We once again went to Hogmanay for New Year's Eve. We got caught in a bit of traffic just before we arrived, so we ended up missing the Grand March, the waltz, and the first dance, Machine Without Horses (32J3, Book 12). After a recent dance class, I asked the teacher for some help with my strathspey setting step. I was worried that my foot had a tendency to show during the lift, instead of being completely hidden behind the supporting leg.
