Bad Week for Cats
Four friends of mine have lost cats this week. Another friend's cat is sick. Some other friends' cat somehow got out of the house and has been missing since Wednesday night. We were supposed to be cat-sitting their cat this weekend.
The missing cat has epilepsy and is partially blind, and was last seen at the high school near my friends' home yesterday morning. Apparently somebody saw him there and took the trouble to call the phone number on his rabies tag (the vet's number), but didn't hang on to him or provide any additional information. I hope he is all right, and that he will be found soon.
All of you who have cats or other beloved pets, I hope they are happy, healthy, and safe. Tonight I'm going to hold my kitties tight, and give them a little extra love and attention, just in case.
Update: The missing cat has been found! So, even though it's still been a bad week for cats overall, at least there's one piece of happy news.
