Hello! Whereabouts in London are you? I converted Liberal (and now work for Liberal Judaism), so obv I am a bit biased, but I like LJ very much, it's very focussed on ethics and community and good things like that. Also we are very egalitarian, we are the only movement to have ceremonies for gay/lesbian couples to bless Civil Partnerships (we would have full-on gay and lesbian weddings if it were legally possible, I'm fairly sure) and we have a pretty even gender split in our Rabbis.

I converted through the Liberal Jewish Synagogue which is in St John's Wood, and I am now a member there and a 'supporting friend' (sort of budget membership) of North London Progressive Jewish Community which is my nearest shul, in Stoke Newington. We also have the West Central Liberal Synagogue which is near Tottenham Court Road, and various others slightly further out. I know that the LJS and WCLS have conversion classes, and I'm fairly sure that NLPJC either do or are planning to (much smaller community than the LJS).

I don't know an awful lot about the Reform movement, tbh, so I don't want to seem like I'm slagging them off or anything, but obviously I think we are the bestest! :D If you want, you can e-mail me on anwen.grant@liberaljudaism.org
