Wednesday nights weren’t exactly the quietest nights of the week, but they weren’t the busiest, either. Takeshi quite enjoyed the Wednesday shift. There were the regulars who came in, of course, plus the tourists - god, they’d had a swarm of tourists last week and the takings had been spectacular - and as PUZZLE’s popularity continued to grow, there were always new faces appearing at the bar needing a drink or five.
He’d gone into work early (he had to at least keep up appearances after Se7en had caught him slacking off and chatting to a co-worker one time) and had polished the counter, lined up all the spirits bottles neatly, and had been considering arranging the drinks alphabetically just to mess with his co-workers’ heads when the first few customers arrived.
Soon the evening was in full swing and the club started to fill up. During a moment of quiet time, Takeshi surveyed the dance floor. Yes, it looked like it’d be a good night.
