It had been a tiring day for Kame since it was groceries day and he hated those days were he had to shop for 10 full bags (okay, not 10, maybe 5) full of priority products such as food and drinks. And then the alcohol of course.

After sorting the groceries, he had to rush to work where it was loaded with customers. He was so lucky. Not. It was only imaginable how tired the young man had been, even though he worked only half of his usual shift.

And now, it was time for his rest on his large kingsized bed. Sighing contently with his head on his soft pillow, his eyes closed as he let himself fall asleep...

Only to open them in an instant when he heard his door unlocking. Frowning to himself, he started thinking about who that person could be. Probably a thief? Since he never gave his key to other people. But this was one of the most secured buildings of Roppongi. Then again, you never know.

Oh. Ohh. Of course, he had left his key outside for Nocchi. Stretching his arms for a moment, he got up and searched for a shirt to wear - to ( ... )

Ayano took in her surroundings, noticing the things that he had changed since she last went over to his apartment - which wasn't much, since she had been to it just a few weeks ago. Placing the key on the all too familiar hook, Ayano put the cake inside the refrigerator and quietly placed the grocery bags of chips and DVDs on the counter. On her tip-toes, she sneakily walked down the hallway and towards his room, pushing the door open and enthusiastically yelling, "Happy Late Birth-EEEP!"

As it flew open and revealed the inside of Kazuya's room, Ayano saw the back of the male's half-naked body and promptly freaked out, quickly turning around and covering her eyes. After all, she had never actually seen a naked guy before. "G-go-gomen!" Ayano squeaked, hands still covering her eyes. "I really should have called first, shouldn't have I?"

Due to his sleepy and tired state, it took him a bit longer than usual to find a decent and comfortable shirt to wear. And when he did find one, the yelling of a girl behind him caused him to turn around to face an (what seemed to be) embarrassed Ayano. He chuckled at the sight and started to put on his shirt. "It's okay really. You did say you'd suprise me." He said before walking towards her, not even slightly bothered by the fact that the girl had seen him in sweatpants. Usually he would wear casual clothes before showing himself but he felt as if she was a good friend, and good friends didn't need to look all that decent around each other. "You can turn around now." He told her.

"A-are you sure?" Ayano asked, chuckling nervously as she slowly turned her head to look at him, and breathing a sigh of relief when she saw that he was fully clothed. Though they were close friends, the least that Ayano had ever seen of Kazuya was him with his socks and shoes off, so his bare back was quite a shock. She turned around fully and scratched the back of her neck, flashing him a wary smile and a peace sign.

"Oh!" She exclaimed, suddenly remembering the layered dessert waiting in his refrigerator. "I brought the cake! Come look!" She grabbed his arm and dragged him to his kitchen, taking the cake out of the fridge and placing it on the countertop. "It's a little...lop-sided. Sorry."

Kame chuckled at Ayano's nervousness, the other was so cute beneath that rough exterior she always put up against guys. He could understand though why she couldn't trust guys, his own experience from a few years ago with another guy wasn't exactly pleasant. Well, for a moment it was but then, he was left with an empty feeling. And that was probably how Ayano felt at that time she came to his apartment; empty.

He let himself be dragged to his kitchen, smiling as he couldn't wait to taste the cake she had made. He watched as she took the cake and placed it on the countertop. It was an amusing sight but he didn't laugh, judging from the cake, he could see how much effort she had put into making it. "It looks delicious." He commented sincerely. "I can't wait to taste it. How 'bout you put in a DVD already and I'll bring the cake accompanied with plates and forks and also some drinks?"

"It does?" Ayano asked him, a small look of disbelief on her face. She shook her head and the thought away, smiling when he commented that he wanted to eat the less-than-perfect-looking dessert. At his suggestion, Ayano grabbed the DVDs from the plastic bag and ran to his living room, but not before going to his own room and taking his big comforter and wrapping it around herself. She kneeled in front of the DVD system with the DVD's in hand, glancing between the few of them.

"Let's watch a horror movie and then a sappy one, 'kay?" Ayano yelled to the kitchen, taking the popular Korean horror, A Tale of Two Sisters, out of its DVD case and sticking it into the player. She stood up and waddled over to the couch, sitting on the floor in front of it and making herself comfortable, also remembering to leave a space in the big comforter for Kazuya. She placed the other DVDs on the coffee table before her and turned around to face the kitchen, waiting for Kazuya to come over with the food.

Kame nodded at her question, noting the small look of disbelief on her face. It really wasn't all that bad looking. And besides - like many people said - it's not the appearance that mattered but the inside, right?

When Ayano went to the living room, he walked towards the cupboard which held all his plates and grabbed two of them before grabbing a pair of forkes and knives. "Alright!" He called back, answering her question before taking the large plate with the cake on it in his free hand and headed for the living room, putting everything on the table as he went back to the kitchen again, only now for the drinks.

"So what horror movie are we watching?" He asked when he stepped into his large living room again with two drinking glasses and a bottle of orange juice, taking a seat on the couch and placing the products on the table.

"A Tale of Two Sisters," Ayano commented, grateful for the fact that he brought over orange juice and not some weird alcoholic drink. She wasn't highly tolerate towards those types of beverages; a few sip would take her over the edge. "It's Korean. The two main girls are so cute~" She said in a sing-song voice, a smile on her face as she wiggled over on the floor.

It quickly disappeared when she noticed that he opted for the couch instead and she pouted, opening the comforter even further. "Mou, Kazuya! Sit down here with me!" Ayano patted the spot next to her, looking up at him expectantly.

Kame opened the bottle or orange juice before pouring it into the two glasses. He had remembered that Ayano wanted something fruity and delicious, and he figured that she wouldn't like alcohol. "Oh really? I've never saw it before." He said, chuckling at her cheerfulness.

Though that quickly faded as he saw her pouting, wanting him to sit next to her on the floor. Even though he preferred the couch, he couldn't reject his friend's offer and gave in as he moved to sit next to her. He picked up a knife and cut two pieces, putting them on the two plates. "Here you go." He said, moving one of the plates towards her side. "So, this movie does have subtitles right?" He joked.

"I've watched it a few times. It's really good. Definitely makes you think." Ayano smiled at his chuckle, sidling over next to him as he sat down and wrapping her arms around his. She hesitantly let them go and accepted the cake, her hands clapping together and muttered a soft, "Itadakimasu!"

"Mmm, umai!" Ayano exclaimed with a full mouth, surprised at just how delicious it was. She swallowed the piece of cake and grinned, not realizing the small bit of whipped cream at the corner of her mouth. "Of course, dork! I wouldn't torture you with a movie in a language you don't understand if it didn't have subtitles," she teased, gently poking his side and wrapping the large blanket around the two of them.

"A few times already? Must be that good then, since I trust your taste." Kame said, startled when she suddenly hugged him though, even if he wasn't fond of hugs, he didn't struggle or anything. Since it was Ayano, he just smiled at her, watching her eat the cake.

"It is?" He asked chucklingly before taking his first bite after muttering a small "Itadakimasu." The cake was really delicious, just like Ayano said. "Perfect cake." He commented, and chuckled upon seeing a small bit of whipped cream at the corner of her mouth. "Of course you wouldn't, I know you better than that." He said with a smile, poking her back and accepting the comfortable and warm blanket. "Oh yeah, you have a bit of whipped cream-" He started as he used his forefinger to wipe it away. "-right here." He chuckled as he showed it to her.

"Un, you can rely on me." Ayano gave him a cheesy grin and turned back to the t.v., grabbing the remote controls on the table. She stared at the buttons, wondering where the Play one was and felt like an idiot when she finally found it, giggling in embarrassment. Only around Kazuya could she giggle and act like a dork.

Out of the corner of her eye, Ayano watched Kazuya eat, a huge grin appearing when he said that it was perfect. She took another bite and smiled, her eyes making an ^^-like expression. They fluttered open when he wiped the whipped cream off and she stared at it, feeling even more embarrassed. Jokingly, she ate the cream off his finger and smiled. "Oishii~"

Turning back to the movie, Ayano turned the subtitles on and pressed the "Play Movie" button, eyes catching sight of the digital clock above the television. "Oh, it's okay if you fall asleep. It's pretty late, after all."

Kame chuckled when Ayano ate the whipped cream off his finger and turned to his cake, taking another bite before gripping the blanket tighter around him. Not that he was feeling cold or anything, the blanket just felt so comfortable and soft.

His eyes glanced at the digital clock above his television, it was pretty late but he felt that it would be pretty rude to fall asleep when there was a guest. Though, he still nodded. "Okay." He said and focused on the screen infront of him, watcing as the movie started. "It's also okay if you fall asleep, I don't mind you staying over."

A small smile appeared on her face when he pulled the blanket tighter and she scooted closer to him, hands clutching the edge of the blanket. "Un, but I'll try not..." her hand came out from beneath the blanket to stifle an oncoming yawn and she glanced at him with a sheepish grin, chuckling and looking away. Ayano didn't mind if he did fall asleep, because she knew that he had been sleeping anyway when she suddenly showed up. He had been working a lot recently and she knew that he'd need the sleep. "You can use my shoulder, ne?" Ayano whispered with a mouthful of cake, taking a sip of the orange juice afterwards.

Kame let out a small, soft laughter at her yawn before he had to struggle against one of his own threatening to escape. Somehow, when someone else was yawning, and he was tired as well, he couldn't help but yawn along though it was always held back. "Ah, thanks." He said with a small smile before using her shoulder as a pillow. It was rather difficult to struggle against his sleepyness, as he tried to follow the movie. But he had almost been asleep before, thus made it even more harder to stay awake when his body wanted to rest. Sitting straight again, he took another bite of the cake and drank his glass of orange juice empty. He blinked a few times in attempt to stay awake as he focused on the screen once again, much more looking like a zombie right now.

Ayano glanced at Kazuya every now and then as they watched the movie, their cake slices gone and their glasses of juice empty. She couldn't blame him if he fell asleep; she herself had spent the whole day and night baking cakes, trying to perfect them. Ironically, the first few looked perfect, with great icing and not at all tilted, but they had flaws like the fact that some were burnt or some were too sweet or some too sour.

She struggled to keep her eyes open and to not fall asleep, probably the same problem he was going through at the moment. "Oh, this is an exciting pa...zzz-" Try as she may to stay awake, Ayano ended up dozing off as she spoke, the arms she had wrapped around one of Kazuya's falling limp and her head leaning on his shoulder, soft snores coming from her nose.
