More anime talk
~ I watched the first episode of Gundam 00 last night, and I loved it. Then again, I've been a gundam fanatic for years, so it's only natural that I like this one as well. I hope it will be a great series. I have to admit though, that after watching the opening *several times in a row* I've noticed some similarities in the animation sequences, especially those of the giant mecha, to Gundam Wing. It doesn't bother me, I just thought it was curious.
Another big plus for this anime is the fact that they got some awesome seiyuus for some of the characters. One is Shinichiro Miki - one of my all time favorite voice actors *squeels*
He's known for roles like Creed Diskence from Black Cat, Kisuke Urahara from Bleach, Asato Tsuzuki from Yami no Matsuei, Kyuuzo from Samurai 7. Then there is Mamoru Miyano known as the voice of Light/Raito Yagami from Death Note, Tamaki Suou from Ouran High School Host Club, Kiba from Wolf's Rain. Another one is Hiroyuki Yoshino who gave the voice to Kai Miyagusuku from Blood +, Hibiki Tokai from Vandread. So yeah, I'm anxciously looking forward to the next episode.
~ After more than a year, I finally finished watching Ouran High School Host Club. I have to admit that there's been several times when I almost gave up watching it. Some of the episodes were just too crazy or seemed totally unrelated to the story. However, it started to get really interesting in the second half of the series, where they started to explain how all the different characters came together, and why the club was formed. I'm definitely glad that I stuck with it to the end. I even watched the last two episode more than once ^_^, which shows how much I really liked the ending (despite the fact that it made me cry like crazy *lol*)
~ Another new anime I decided to give a try was Rental Magica. It's about this group of people - high schoolers for the most part - who have magic powers (!duh). Without getting too much into the story of the first episode, I have to say that it's quite interesting. There is action, humor, drama, the supernatural, of course, and fairly good quality animation. So basicall a lot of the things that I like are compiled into this anime. So I'm definitely gonna watch some more of it ^_^
