Yesterday was an adventure. I especially enjoyed being offered a cigarette, playing a serious basketball game against 12 year olds (and winning), playing with a muscled action figure modeled after a viking, having absolutely no idea where I was for a good portion of the time, and a great goodbye hug. It was also great to hang out with an old friend and slip back into our easy way.
I drove into town to go to the post office and library this afternoon, coming out of the post office I ran into Mrs. Carter and she told me I'm welcome to play in church any time I want, I think I might take her up on the offer later in the summer when I can play a movement of the Beethoven. Then at the libray I happily ran into Sam's mom, what a great women she is, and I've got to call her and schedule a time to go over and tune their family piano. I did a good chunk of house painting, and I went for a run afterwards because I felt like working up a sweat and feeling studly (both of which I accomplished).
I don't know what I'll do tonight, I got 'The Patriot' from the library, with Mel Gibson, maybe I'll watch that. My practicing sounded good today, I kind of stuck to things that I knew wouldn't sound bad and that I'd already worked on, an esteem building day. Tomorrow I'm going to kick my ass with new stuff that will sound bad. Sweet.
