....and I am freeeeeeee :)))
I finally took my PhD qualifying exams on Monday and Tuesday-the exam was exhausting both mentally and physically-but I am just glad that I'm done with it. I will know in a week or two if my answers were acceptable, or if i have to redo the thing again!
Life feels much better now, and I have been enjoying my vela-ness for the past two days, by indulging in some really arbid Hindi films. I watched Bewafaa and Aitraaz back to back (my husband now thinks i'm in love with Akshay Kumar! hehehe). I wouldn't really recommend either film unless you are bored out of your mind and are completely vela :).
I also saw My Brother Nikhil-I really enjoyed this film, I thought it was much better than Phir Milenge (I'm biased too as I prefer Juhi Chawla & Sanjay Suri to Shilpa Shetty & Salman Khan!). I thought Purab Kohli did a tremendous job in the film too. The kid sure has come a long way since his Hip-Hip-Hurray days. I now want to watch Parineeta and Black, and maybe Bunty aur Babli for some more timepass :)
I also plan to catch up on the mile long reading list that I have neglected for almost a year now (as *fun* reading was all supposed to be a part of my life after the comprehensives!)....My sis had recommended a biography of Indira Gandhi which is what I plan to start out with.
In other news, my mom is in town right now, and had unfortunately fallen ill and had to be hospitalized...anyways, she is out of the woods now, and is on the road to recovery :)
...now to get back to watching some other arbid movie :))
