wow ... that really sounds like fun work ! In India we are constantly told that our system of Math & Science in K-thru-12 is among the best (and most demanding) in the world. Maybe that is one of the factors that helps us think we are good at math and science. I would love to read your work .... I wont probably inderstand, but I can try :) I can be reached at varsha.rao-at-gmail

congs.. Last time I got a gift card from borders, I consumed it by drinking 'Hali bali chai', it almost became my cofi shop for next 45 days... lol
But I thought, it was clever way of using it, as usually I hate buying cofi when I go to book store, specially when u cld use that for buying some decent book.

Interesting topic, "Peer reputations and gender differences in academic self-concept", whoo how did u stumble on doing reserach on it.

Thanks for writing in... I haven't as yet figured out what i'm going to do with my gift card...but using it for food is definitely a thought :)...I'm not into coffee or tea (yeah-guess I belong to that small minority that doesn't care for either!)...but should probably try out some of the other fare there...

Regarding my area of research, well, it wasn't something I dreamt up....my advisor was interested in this area of research, and I was interested in peer relationships and self-concepts, so we just merged our two areas....and thus was born this line of research...I'm also looking at cultural differences in academic self-concept, and another line of research looks at the development of gender identity beliefs and values...

PS: Have added you as a friend
