You need to take a look at the bigger picture.
You are defending a misguided and destructive political trend that has been tolerated not sanctified.
It is no way a positive set of actions that people should rush to defend, you got lucky that this guy is off his rocker so that lazy people with lazy minds can sleep better at night.
"Oh, phew. He was only a schizophrenic who was denied mental health services. I can keep venting my misery over the slowly piling burdens in my life in lazy attacking outbursts and soundbites instead of making articulate arguments, or enacting any real changes."
- a sentiment attributable to anyone defending this sentiment, not just politicians who can claim clean hands a little longer.
