Yesterday, up early, out to Fort Worth for the bike ride to the Rahr brewery. Rode over with Bryan, saw Aric and Casey and Mic, drank free beer. Rode back.
Then to Denton, picked up JC from his swingin new pad, Mickeybeer in one hand, and headed to Secret Headquarters for their one year anniversary. Daniel Francis Doyle is one bad MF.
Then some more music at SHQ and a short walk to J&Js for PA.
Plastic Assassins put on one of their most enjoyable shows in my memory, it's been so long since I've seen them, I was pleased to have remembered the lyrics to sing along.
Dollar Schlitz at J&J's of course, saw Lillie, and lots of old friends. Then back over to SHQ for more music. I played drums for a song for Christian! Teenage Runaway which was amazing. Killer gals, Chris Moseley is one lucky MF.
Then DFD's girlfriend played, amazing stuff....DFD is one lucky MF.
I desperately wanted to see Nouns Group at 1:30 but by that time I had been drinking for 12 solid hours and to be honest was nearing the point of incoherence so I hit my back seat to take a rest. Eventually Casey and JC came, we dropped off JC and Casey drove us back to Grapevine. The only way I'm aware of this is reports from JC and the fact that I woke up at 7:30 this morning in the backseat of my car parked in Aric Hulsey's driveway. I'm pretty smart so I pieced it all together.
If that's what days off are like, I've really been missing out.
