Have you ever felt like such a downright disgraceful person towards the few souls you care for the most? But you believe that it's for the best for both parties involved, so no one has to suffer through any negativity that could've been avoided easily. You can't help but feel the need to be dishonest or vague in order to not let anyone you love down. That agony is familiar, if not completely understood, no one enjoys looks of shame & disappointment from anyone they respect or love.
But you can't deny that the mildly justified excuse you just used isn't the only reason behind your overall state of dishonesty. When it all is said & done, not only are you a coward, but a selfish compulsive liar as well. It's not all your fault that your default defense mechanism is built on deceiving anyone you either don't trust, or someone you care for that you don't want to touch you emotionally more than they already have. You lie in order to ultimately save yourself.
Those made weak will feign strength & honor until the course of their destruction is taken into effect.
