Spokaloo
Last Thursday my Dad came down to Bend and helped me pack up all my shit (except I just learned that I forgot my shot glasses - foiled!) and then he helped me drive it up to Spokane - which is where I am now. Thrilling. I'll be staying here for at least another week. My Mom has tickets to the National Figure Skating Championships which are being held here this whole week and I want to stay and see all the final competitions on Friday and Saturday. So Spokane it is for a little while. At least it's a cheap staging ground for applying for jobs.
Speaking of jobs, I am having a surprisingly easy time finding jobs that I am interested in. Lots of jobs with at-risk youth, homeless youth, young adults who have aged out of the foster care system, etc. Now the trick is to apply for all of them and hopefully get one.
And then comes housing. Anyone out there in Seattle-land have any tips/leads/suggestions on places I could live? I'm not used to looking for housing in a big city - the whole process is a little overwhelming.
