Hello, I am the choir; I believe I heard you were preachingvyncentvegaJune 5 2005, 03:29:03 UTC
"Keeping in touch with a lot of people is very difficult for me."
Man, no joke. Hell, I find it very difficult to keep in touch with a FEW people, let alone a lot.
"For the love of all that is holy, don’t question me about my silence. Don’t ask if I’m ‘ok,’ you’ll drive me nuts."
Ah yes. So true.
"I hate talking about the obvious."
Wait, so are you saying you hate talking about the obvious? The obvious? Talking about it? You hate that?
"I don’t want to be taken care of, I don’t want to be looked after or worried about. I can take care of myself thank you very much."Oddly, it would appear I'm not in the choir on this one. I mean, yes, of course I can take care of myself, and I certainly don't want someone else running my life, but I guess I don't think that means that I wouldn't mind being taken care of, sometimes. Case in point: Matt, Julie, and I went to the store a week or so ago. Since I didn't need to get anything, I just pretty much spent my time wandering with them, occasionally stopping to look at this or that

Thank you for that wonderful article. I used to get asked "are you okay?" on a daily basis as a kid when I was sitting quietly and thinking. Why is it that not interacting constantly=not okay? And I also heard through the grapevine at points (especially in high school) that people thought that I was arrogant, because I supposedly thought I was "too good" to talk to them! I had NO IDEA where they got that from, because I certainly didn't feel that way at all.
And Christine, you hit the nail on the head with that rant -- right on! Hope you had fun at the beach.
