i spent both sunday and monday in the middle of nowhere, small town, pennsylvania. while it wasn't for the happiest of occasions, there were moments where i couldn't help but laugh. like when i came to the genius conclusion that each state should have a "state meat" - and pennsylvania's would be ham. the people in pennsylvania like ham. a lot. they like making things with ham, like ham loaf. they are a dedicated people. for instance, when i declined ham from a little old lady, i could feel her eyes bore a hole in my head as i turned and walked away. but what really cracked me up was this:
