I guess it's been a while, huh? Life is pretty amazing right now. I have decided to stay in San Diego (instead of moving back to SF like my original plan). There's some down falls but all in all I think I've made the right choice. The biggest player in me staying is my job. I cannot even expressed how fulfilling and fun it is to work with these kids. I feel great everyday.
In exciting news:
-For the last two months I have been biking to work. It's really awesome. I honestly feel like I have more energy now. it's also great because I get those "30 minutes of work out a day" that everyone says is all you need to stay healthy. OOh and it's good for the environment and pocketbook too.
-I am moving out of my parents house! This will be the first house in San Diego that I won't live with my parents... kinda crazy. I'm moving to North Park in a sweet house behind saguaros! This will be the first time I will also be completely financially independent from my parents. I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T do you know what I mean! (move in dat: July. expect a party!)
-I can't wait to decorate, which is strange because I have never been much of a decorator but I hope to live in this house for a while. yay! I'm even making a quilt for my bed instead of buying a comforter. :)
-I have been having weekly picnics with a friend which is awesome. Reminds me of picnics with Alex in SF. we eat and play backgammon. it's awesome. and I love picnics.
-My friend and I have a book club together. It's just the two of us so there's little structure, but we get together and make dinner while discusses the book. Our club is called "Club Nutmeg" after the first book we read together.
-Katie bought a 15'x15' pool so we are going to be pool partying it up all summer. BLACKOUT SUMMER 2008!
-I went to vegas last weekend for the first time as a over 21yo for Julia's B-day. We laid out, ate, gambled and clubbed. it was nice reuniting with the roomies again! <3
-I'm taking the CBEST in June so that I can sub at my school as a teacher and make more $$$.
-The weather has been sooo nice. awww summertime...
