Life has been amazing lately. San Diego has not been a disappointment yet. Been keeping really busy which is nice. Hanging out with SD people regularly has been a blast too. :)
Katie got a fire pit and we have been roating things fairly often. Saturday was a prom party for Jessica, and I made corsages! They were awesome! Everyone looked so nice... oh to be young. On Tuesday nights I started taking a Serging class (which is a type of sewing machine with 3+ threads). It is FOUR HOURS long and I am by far the youngest, but it is SO much fun! I honestly love it. My grandma ways are coming out. (PLUS: Chris this means legit sewing for your clothes!)
On Tuesday I started my job! I cannot express how much I have already feel in love with these kids. I am working as a classroom aide for a school of special needs chilren (down syndrome, autistic, emotionally disturbed, drug/alcohol babies, etc) I have a special connection with Pablo, who is known not to open up easily but he already comes to me when he wants to leave the classroom and holds my hand. He gave me a hug when getting on the bus today-- which is a big deal for him. I already am dreading leaving.
Yes, everything is great. The sun, the beach, friends. 2007 has been a non-stop party!
