So I thought that 2014 would e a better year than 2013. So far, my car has been in the shop twice (once to have the brakes fixed and then less than a week later for a flat-as-a-pancake tire), I've had to get my debit card canceled and replaced (apparently, the Target breach was bigger and went on longer than they originally thought) and now I've come down with something. A coworker came In last week with what she claimed were "severe allergies." Well, allergies aren't contagious and don't make you run a fever. (A small one, but a fever nonetheless.)
Been reading the first Coda live reports on Tumblr. I will admit to a teensy bit of disappointment that there was no new album or single announced, but the boys do need the break - and a year of "greatest hits" shows around Japan is as close as a VK band can come to a year off without announcing a hiatus. (Can you imagine if they did that? My God, the hysteria!) I also suspect that they might, just might, be leaving Sony - whenever Alice Nine has spent an entire year just touring Japan, it's always been followed by a label switch announcement. Well, at least we're getting not one, but two DVDs this year (and I hope someone does a translation of the tour documentary!)
Now the big question is which PSC band will be the next to follow in the Gazemen's footsteps and do a world tour. My money's still on SCREW - that's probably what the vague announcement about "SCREW's Greatest Challenge" was.
