(no subject)
I'm working on the first fic I've written since my father's passing - after the con, I feel like I'm ready to get back to doing things like that. It's not going to be earth-shattering - basically a PWP from a prompt on the GazettE Kink Meme - but I'm having fun doing it. (I figured I'd shake off the rust with something simple before doing things with a bit more plot).
I got my Shooting Star singles on Wednesday. And before I got a chance to think, "Well, that's it, no more Alice Nine releases for awhile," PSC says, "Ha HA! We're bringing out another Complete Collection! SURPRISE!" Granted a Complete Collection isn't something I NEED unless they throw in goodies that weren't included in the original release (a PV for a coupling song on one of the singles, a previously unreleased track, etc.) And, geez, with all the other stuff coming out . . . Let's see, we have MELT and Countdown Live, the SCREW album and DVD, and, oh, yeah, GazettE just MAY be releasing a couple of little things before the end of the year. And I haven't even got the info on BORN's new releases yet. (Yes, they're doing three singles, too). Plus, I've started listening to Sadie as well. (Aoi, stop collecting boy toys from different bands! ~_^) So, yeah, I've pretty much put the lid on any more "Hey, I've heard a lot about this band, I'm going to check them out . . ." (I've got a trip to Germany to pay for!)
Thanks, by the way, to everyone who sent me birthday wishes! I was in Toronto for the day itself - it was the day before the con, and we went to Pacific Mall (Asian shopping complex). Not a bad way to spend your birthday. (I broke my netbook during the trip, so when my mother asked me what I wanted for my birthday - yeah, I said a new netbook. Getting an Asus again, like my first one).
