Three-fifths of the way done with my Season of Kink bingo line! (Throws confetti) Just posted the 26th entry in The Camera Eye series. It's another case of "my muses aren't exactly predictable." You see . . . just about the entire Royz fandom ships Subaru (the vocalist) with Kuina (the right guitarist). With good reason - the two perform fanservice together with the frequency that most of us check our phones. I tried to do a whole storyline for Camera Eye with Subaru and Kuina - but my Subaru muse was having nothing of it. Then I happened to be browsing through the backlogs of RoyzYaDe, the primary Royz fanblog on Tumblr, and came across this, this and this - not to mention this - and suddenly, bam, the storyline was suddenly about Subaru and Tomoya (the drummer). Now, the muse was going for it. Apparently, nobody's posted a fic about that particular pairing on AO3 before - leave it to my muses to be "unusual." (Tomoya, like most drummers, seems to be underloved by the fandom - on AO3 he's the dreaded fifth wheel who gets shipped with "original characters." I'm surprised I didn't find Tomoya/Miyavi).
Meanwhile, I watched the last episode of Sailor Moon Crystal this past weekend and I'm sorry to see it go. The Dark Kingdom arc got a bit bumpy at times but the Black Moon arc was a LOT better - they actually pulled off the seemingly impossible task of making Chibi-Usa likeable and sympathetic. So with Boueibu long since ended, Sailor Moon Crystal done (with the fandom anxiously awaiting word of a renewal from Toei) and My Little Pony on hiatus AGAIN, I actually have no series I'm watching at the moment. (At least until the friends who are harping on me to catch up on Steven Universe end up getting to me). Ha, I may go back and watch some old school stuff - I stumbled across a site the other day that was filled with downloads of blasts from the past like Yuu Yuu Hakusho and Ronin Warriors.
