CHARACTER
» Name: Elizabeth “Liz” Thompson
» Fandom: Soul Eater
» Reference: http://souleater.wikia.com/wiki/Elizabeth_Thompson
» Canon Point: chapter 67
» Gender: female
» Age: Unknown. Liz’s actual age is never stated. The only thing we do know is that Liz is 2 - 3 years older than Patty, according to her. Estimating, I’d say 17.

» Orientation: Heterosexual. Liz has been shown to be a typical teenage girl and this includes hitting on boys. Unfortunately for her, Patty and others messed around and pretended to be her kids, scaring off the potential male. She also thought that Giriko was cute, thinking just that when she met him.

» Personality:
Liz is the older sister of the Thompson sisters, and arguably the more mature of the two. While Patty might whistle and giggle and laugh, Liz will often take a more sensible approach to things. She tends to be the voice of reason in the group, or at least will be the one to tell Kid that his notions at times are stupid and drag him along against his will. Liz has been known to complain about Kid’s symmetrical issues on more than one occasion, such as saying they looked stupid while dancing or that he only had three stripes on one side of his head.

She has a great bond with her sister, and has stated that she will protect her, especially from any perverts that try to take advantage of her. That being said, the two of them have a great friendship, though Patty is more than happy to toy with her sister and screw up Liz’s chances of hitting on boys. She will pretend to be Liz’s daughter and gets a chuckle out of the fact that Liz gets annoyed when it sends the boy’s running. Although she might come across as smart (or at least look smart when she dresses up…), she actually is not academic, though between Kid, Patty and Liz, she was the one to get the highest marks, which was 28 out of 100 on a test. That, of course, really isn’t anything to be proud of, although Patty did make a Giraffe and Kid couldn’t even write his name down.

Liz tends to worry about things such as make up, boys and clothing, and not actually school. As well, she has an insane fear of many things, such as ghosts and monsters. Even when a ghost is trying to be nice and help her, Liz panics and freaks out, thinking that they are out to get her. She is the frightened one out of the two sisters, for Patty just laughs (sometimes a bit crazily…) but Liz while whine and crawl on the floor. While she is neurotic about that, she does also have her strengths.

As much as she will put Kid down for his obsession with symmetry, she does admire him. Liz grew up on the streets of Brooklyn, a tossed aside daughter of the most beautiful whore in town. While Liz might seem very girly and scared of her old shadow, there is that tough side to her as well. Liz and Patty grew up in a rough part of town, but they weren’t the ones who were being taken advantage of. No, they earned the name the Demon Twin Guns. They made a living by robbing people that they saw.

Back then, Liz was tough and hard around the edges, smoking cigarettes and not giving a shit about anyone or anything but Patty. They did try to rob Kid, but he ended up taking them as his weapons. Initially they wanted to exploit him and his position, but as they got to know him, those greedy desires of theirs vanished. It might seem like a strange match, but his dignified soul was something that Liz admired about him, and their bond ended up being quite strong despite everything. While she might get down on Kid for his obsession, Liz is also there to cheer him up when he needs it.

Liz can be quite a girly girl, as she likes to do her nails and read magazines. She can also be quite flirtatious, pulling the wool over Ginko. Even though Liz has left the streets behind, she does still keep some of that edge to her. When need be, she can also be courageous and strong. She’ll do whatever needs to be done in order to protect her family and her friends. Yet, she is also practical, even if it hurts her to be so, such as risking their lives to get Kid back, as Liz knew that they were no match against Noah’s power.

The fact that they are identical guns and not identical when they are in human appearance is a soft spot for her also. She is taller than her sister, but Patty has bigger boobs, which is something that bothers Liz to no end. After all, she is the older sister and she can’t do anything about her body being the way it is. She can be easily scared, and does not like to be alone in a creepy place or do anything gross (like being stuck in a monster’s mouth when in gun mode). Kid's compulsion about setting everything symmetric gets on her nerves though she will go along with his fighting stance.

» Appearance:
While Kid might have chosen them for being symmetrical in their gun form, in their human forms, Liz and Patty differ. Appearance wise, Liz is the taller of the Thompson sisters, standing almost a head taller. She has long dark blonde hair that goes partway down her back. Whereas Patti has bangs, Liz's hair is more one complete length save for two pieces that hang forward. Her eyes are a dark blue colour and she has a healthy skin tone. As well, although Liz does have a sizable bosom to her, she is smaller than her sister, and has been known to knock Kid for pointing that out, as it is not her fault. Their mother was beautiful, and according to Liz, they often heard that they too were beautiful growing up.

» Suitability:
While Liz does have her moments of paranoia, especially with ghosts, she does tend to be the one who is more level-headed and calm. Even if she no longer looks it, Liz has had a hard life. Their mother abandoned her at a young age, along with Patty, on the streets. Due to this, both of them had to fend for themselves in order to stay alive. Because of the fact that they are weapons and can use each other, they took to surviving anyway they could, and that meant robbing people. One would be the gun and one would do the robbing.

I believe that because of her trials and ordeals over the years, that Liz would be emotionally capable of handling herself. She might still whine and moan about the situation and likely will be in disbelief at first and then panic when she realizes that it is real, but she was strong enough to survive all these years and is strong enough to survive now. She wouldn't just toss her life away because there is Patty. Even though she isn't in Amatomnes, Liz would never risk Patty or any memories that she had of her. Patty is shown to be very important to Liz and Liz didn’t want to risk her life after Kid was taken. Although the belief is that Liz can do anything (according to Patty), she did break down and cry when she realized the choice that she had to make. She simply didn’t want to risk losing Patty as well.

Although her life is now softer, as back when she first met Kid her initial reaction was to protect and provide for Patty a luxurious life-style that Kid could offer, she still can be the girl that she used to be. In order to survive on the streets, they did what they needed to do. Kid has since provided them with a level of security that they never had. Despite that, they both do still have some of their old tricks hanging around that they have used. They can be quick on their feet and are good at conning people. Giriko had his drink spiked with a powerful sleeping agent due to the Thompson sister’s.
