my mother received a letter yesterday in the mail from Dr. James Dobson and his group, Focus on the Family. the envelope stated "Traditional Marriage in the Balance. knowing that James Dobson was a big time christian author i chose to read it....and got a little upset.

maybe when i go to iceland, i just won't come back. they are so cool with gay people. they are generally accepted, they are allowed to get married, etc. and iceland is a country with an official church! i wonder if religion really has anything to do with it at all anymore, when i think of that fact. i think it's really just brainwashing with the name of religion placed over it and god as the reason.

I'm amazed at how paranoid these people are. For example, I had a woman on the street tell me that gay men were going to steal our husbands. I turned to my husband and said, "How many gay men are we friends with?" He answered "About a dozen." I replied "And which one is going to steal you?" He died laughing and the woman walked off rather angry.
